Summary
Blivvio is a Mac app that turns your voice into text entirely on your device. We designed it so that your audio and transcripts stay on your Mac. We do not operate a transcription server, and we do not receive, store, or have access to what you dictate.
What we collect
For the core product — dictation — we collect nothing. Your audio is captured locally, transcribed locally, and inserted into the app you're using. None of it is sent to us.
The only data that may reach us relates to running the business:
- License & purchase information handled by our payment processor (see Payments below).
- Support correspondence if you email us — limited to what you choose to share.
- Optional, anonymous diagnostics — off by default, and never including transcript content (see Your choices).
On-device processing
Transcription runs on a local model (Whisper large-v3 turbo) using your Mac's Neural Engine. Audio is processed in memory and discarded after it becomes text. Because this happens on your hardware, Blivvio works offline and your speech never leaves the device.
Local storage
If you enable transcript history, transcripts are stored only on your Mac. You control retention — keep them, set an auto-delete schedule, or disable history entirely. You can erase all Blivvio data at any time from Privacy & Data in the app.
Network activity
Blivvio makes no network requests to transcribe. The app may occasionally connect to check for updates or to download the on-device model on first launch.
Payments & licensing
Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policy; we receive only what's needed to issue and validate your license (such as an order reference and license key). We never see full card numbers.
Your choices
- Diagnostics are opt-in. If enabled, they contain anonymous, aggregate usage signals only — never audio or transcript text.
- History is yours to keep, schedule, or turn off.
- Deletion is one click: erase all local Blivvio data whenever you like.
